Leader of Mongolia’s Union of Workers of "Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi" company set himself alight during a press-conference today, RSN reports, citing local journalist Inclusi Tohto.

The man suffered not very serious face and foot burns. He was taken to hospital. In the Tohto's opinion, the Union leader did this as a sign of disagreement with the actions of the Mongolian authorities.

Since October 17, "Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi" company workers have been protesting against the leadership’s decision to merge the company with the private MCS corporation.
