On 14 August President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received a group of members of the Armenian Karate Federation led by the head of the organization Grigor Michaelyan.

The sides discussed issues of developing physical culture and martial arts.

The President noted different karate study groups are working in Artsakh, and some achievements in this sport have been made. However, further development of this sport in Artsakh requires cooperation with the Armenian Karate Federation.

President Bako Sahakyan expressed confidence that the potential can be effectively realized. 

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev, who is also Honorable President of the Armenian Karate Federation, head of the State Sports Department under the Cabinet of Ministers Ramik Hovsepyan and other officials took part in the meeting.
