President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decision limiting the import of several categories of goods to the country from Turkey, RIA Novosti reports.

“President of Russia V. V. Putin signed a decree on measures of ensuring the national security of Russian Federation from criminal and other illegal actions and application of special economic measures against the Republic of Turkey,” the Kremilin statement reads. 

The document limits the import of part of Turkish goods to Russia.

“Banning or limitation of foreign economic activities, involving import of separate types of goods, whose country of origin is the Republic of Turkey, to the territory of the Russian Federation, according to the list decided by the Government of the Russian Federation (except for the goods imported for personal use in the amount permitted under the law of the Eurasian Economic Union),” the document reads.
