YEREVAN. – After the constitutional amendments, the Prime Minister will represent Armenia at the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
President Serzh Sargsyan noted the above-said during his extensive interview with the representatives of national TV broadcasting companies.
He noted that the respective track-record of numerous countries shows that this does not create any obstacles.
“That is, if he [i.e. the PM] is the authorized person, they don’t negotiate with the position [he holds], right? They negotiate with the authorized person,” Sargsyan added. “I realize that there is a matter of statuses. But I don’t see a president-PM big difference, at least being this much closely in touch with the leaders of European and Eurasian countries.”
