YEREVAN. - The control of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is carried out on a proper level, but the tension has reached its peak. Armenia’s Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan told the aforementioned to journalists in the parliament today.

According to the minister, the adversary uses mortars, and last night put into action a tank in the southeastern direction of the Line of Contact.  

In Ohanyan’s words, thanks to the preventive measures, the situation on the border is under control. Referring to the response of the international community regarding the latest events, the Minister stressed that “Azerbaijan doesn’t understand a human language.”

 “The adversary not only refuses to create investigative mechanisms but is also resisting international investigation, which can reveal the guilty party and give a targeted assessment.  It is time for the international institutions to seriously think of such mechanisms,” the Minister said.

He also said that today he had a phone call with the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
