YEREVAN. - The World Bank (WB) will help improve a number of important landmarks in Armenia. Among them is Armenia’s Garni Gorge. Head of the Tourism Development Policy Department at Armenia’s Ministry of Economy Mekhak Apresyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am today, commenting on the new $55 mln WB project for tourism development in Armenia.   

The project directions include the territories round Hakhpat and Sanahin Monastery Complexes, Stepanavan Dendropark and the area round the “Zorats Karer” megalithic monument.

“The project will also resolve a number of other issues, including the development of other infrastructures and human resources for tourism industry,” Apresyan said.
