YEREVAN. – In 2015, a total of 57 deaths were recorded in the Republic of Armenia Armed Forces, and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, wrote the aforesaid in his Facebook account.

“The [respective] data are summarized by also taking into account the investigative processes, clear definitions, etc.,” Hovhannisyan also wrote. “The main causes [of these deaths] are the adversary’s [i.e. Azerbaijan’s] killings on the Line of Contact (…): 38 deaths, car crash: 2, illness: 2, murder: 1, suicide and cases of causing suicide: 6, unfortunate incidents: 4, as a result of the violation of military service rules: 3, [and] landmine explosion: 1.”
