YEREVAN. - No price rise is observed in Armenia. Armenia’s Deputy PM Vache Gabrielyan, who is also the Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, stated the aforementioned in parliament today.  

According to him, the 12-month inflation in the republic was negative in December 2015 (0.1 percent deflation), the average inflation during the year composing 3.4 percent.

However, the price rise only related to services, while the prices of goods didn't go up.

Moreover, imported goods, especially Russian ones, are getting cheaper due to currency rates.

Gabrielyan also noted that upon the instruction of the head of the Government, price formation of goods of prime necessity was examined. However, no large or unsubstantiated price rise had been revealed there either, the Deputy PM said.
