YEREVAN. – Roads in Armenia are mostly drivable as of Friday 9am, informed the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.

But the Berd-Chambarak road section is closed for traffic.

Several other motorways are difficult to pass.

And there is black ice on some other highways and Vardenyats (Selim) Pass.

The road crews are scattering salt and sand on the motorways and also cleaning them to ensure safe travel.

The Ministry advises drivers to travel on these roads only when absolutely necessary, and with winter tires on their vehicles.

And according to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia, the country’s Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is open for all vehicles with chained wheels.
