The residents of Azerbaijan have begun throwing away their passports, en masse.

In the past one week, around fifty different documents (certificates, passports, military service records, driver’s licenses, motor vehicle technical inspection records, and bank cards) were found in the household waste in capital city Baku, according to Azeri Press news agency of the country.

These documents were handed over to the police.
