YEREVAN. – Sweden plans to assist the Eastern Partnership Programme of the European Union (EU).

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Margot Wallström, who is paying an official visit to Armenia, on Tuesday said the abovementioned at her joint news conference with Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

The Swedish official noted that her country will continue its efforts toward the continuation of this program.

In her words, it is indispensable to show a more personal approach toward the countries, and based on the precept of “more for more;” that is, providing more assistance to the countries which collaborate more. And as per Wallström, the intensification of relations is the best respective method.

The Swedish FM added that the new Armenia-EU talks, and regarding a framework agreement, are the best relevant sign.
