YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily has learned that the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia (RA), Karen Chshmarityan, had found himself in a rather unpleasant situation during his recent visit to Europe.

“According to official data, he made a working visit to Luxembourg on December 7-9 last year, and to Brussels—from 9 to 11.

“According to our information, Minister Karen Chshmarityan was robbed while traveling from one European city to another.

“According to reports, en route, the evildoers stole the minister’s bag, in which there were all of his [travel] documents and wallet.

“It is believed that he managed to reach the RA embassy working in Brussels, where he was helped continue his journey, and eventually return to Armenia.

“[But] the incident is officially denied.

“At any rate, he was in a truly unenviable situation,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
