YEREVAN. – Haykakan Zhamanak daily has learned that First President—and Founding Chairman of the opposition Armenian National Congress Party—Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who had traveled to the United States (US), on January 12, for treatment, will return to Armenia on Saturday, according to the daily. 

“Ter-Petrosyan was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

“The First President had undergone surgery at Glendale Memorial Hospital [and Health Center in the US State of California].

“After postoperative examination, the doctors had assured that there is no risk to his life and ability to work,” Haykakan Zhamanak added.
