 The 2nd Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council meeting has kicked off in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan.

The event has brought together Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the delegations led by the energy ministers of Southern Gas Corridor member countries—Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Greece, Albania, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro—, high-ranking officials of the US, EU and Great Britain, as well as heads of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans Adriatic [natural gas] Pipeline (TAP) projects, and international financial organizations, according to APA news agency of Azerbaijan.

The list of guests also includes Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs leading the Bureau of Energy Resources at the US Department of State Amos Hochstein, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini, and Vice President of the European Commission, in charge of Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič.

A Joint Statement will be signed at the end of the meeting.
