YEREVAN. – A new Armenian airline carrier will appear in Armenia in early April.  

Press Secretary of the Armenian Government-Affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation, Ruben Grdzelyan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Aviakompania Armenia, which has been issued the aircraft operator’s license, will soon be issued the license for conducting regular commercial flights.

“This process will take about a month, after which the airline carrier will begin conducting flights,” Grdzelyan said.

The founder of Aviakompania Armenia is Tamaz Gaiashvili, the President of Georgian Airways.

In addition, two Armenians, Ashot Torosyan and Robert Oganesyan, are shareholders.
