Eight Turkish soldiers were killed during the operations against Kurdish militants in primarily Kurdish-populated Mardin, Şırnak, and Diyarbakır Provinces of Turkey. 

The Kurdish militants detonated a bomb near the Diyarbakır-Bingöl military checkpoint, reported Milliyet daily newspaper of Turkey. As a result, three soldiers were killed and 22 others were wounded.

In addition, three more soldiers died and nine others sustained wounds during the operations against the Kurds in Nusaybin city in Mardin Province.

And two Turkish soldiers were killed during a clash with Kurdish militants in Şırnak.
