Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan have agreed to start a specific study of the transport corridor project on the Caspian Sea's western shores, RIA Novosti reported.

 Lavrov mentioned that they had discussed the issues relating to the financial areas of cooperation. They agreed that their respective ministries will begin substantive studies of the practical aspects of the implementation of transportation corridor project on the Caspian Sea's western shores. It assumes work with the participation of the transport ministries which have to look at the technical, financial parameters of this project. It also involves interaction between the customs services, consular services.
