On April 22 at night Google posted a Doodle dedicated to the Earth Day. The Earth Day is held in March (close to the vernal equinox) and on April 22. Its purpose is to draw people's attention to the fragile and vulnerable environment on the planet Earth. The first "one-off" event held on this day was in 1970 in the United States. Its success inspired the organizers, and since that time it has turned into a regular celebration.

Traditionally many countries are ringing peace bells on the Earth Day to urge people to sense the Earth and the planetary commonness, to make efforts to protect the world peace and preserve the beauty of our common home. The Peace Bell is a call to action aimed at preserving peace and life on earth, save peoples and cultures.
