The discussion on the objectives of PfP Planning and Review Process (PARP) took place in Cooperative Security Committee + Armenia format Friday at the NATO headquarters.

The Armenian Delegation led by the First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan presented to the NATO member-states the process of military reforms and prospects of their development. He also drew the audience’s attention to the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh on April 2.

The Committee Chairman and representatives of NATO member-states welcomed Armenia’s commitment to continuous development of cooperation, its participation in international peacekeeping missions and progress of the country’s military reforms. They expressed readiness to continue their further support.

The NATO member-states offered their condolences to the families of those killed as a result of the recent developments, underscoring the need for the peaceful settlement of the conflict through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group.

On the basis of the discussions, it was decided to submit the document on the objectives of the PARP for the approval by Armenia and NATO member-states.
