YEREVAN. - Azerbaijan for the first time didn’t try to deny “tearing its throat” the fact that it is the aggressor and exactly the initiator of the military aggression, said member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Naira Zohrabyan, who is also the leader of Prosperous Armenia Party.

“This is because the facts are simply obvious. Germany, France and Russia possess the data of satellite surveillance, and in this situation it would be senseless to deny anything.

In their general formulations, they tried to state that there was an alleged provocation from the Armenian side, following which the military actions started.  But, I’ll reiterate, for the fist time the Azerbaijani delegation was much more reserved in its public and non-public statements,” Zohrabyan said.  

In her words, PACE is not the structure which can recognize Azerbaijan as a war criminal, but it can accept that the happening on the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces is a war crime.

The MP highly appreciated the work of the Armenian Delegation: “Serious work is underway in political groups and committees, this exactly being the main work.  Besides, I’d like to note - without opening the brackets - that we have met with the members of numerous delegations in PACE, and showed them the footages of the atrocities confirmed by the Red Cross.”
