MOSCOW. – It is necessary to show restraint in the situations that develop around Karabakh. The primary task is to prevent another outbreak of aggression, said the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on April 27.

“What is now happening in Nagorno-Karabakh , is a confirmation of our thesis. We voiced at the previous briefings that now, more than ever, we need to show restraint and lead our work towards the restoration of stability,” said Zakharova at the briefing.

According to her, the Russian Foreign Ministry "strongly believes" that the parties should resume the negotiation process aimed at achieving sustainable peace resolution.

“We believe that it is fundamentally important to increase the work of reducing risks of war on the basis of existing agreements ,” she added , reported RIA Novosti .

“"Now the primary task is to calm down the situation , prevent further aggression , bloodsheds , and , of course, restore the atmosphere that will contribute to the negotiation process . Those are fundamentally important things,” said Zakharova.
