YEREVAN. -- The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will take care about families of 64 killed soldiers, stated Artem Asatryan, the head the ministerial department, at the governmental meeting on April 28.

According to him , there was established an interdepartmental working group was to assess the social needs of those families . 

Ten out of 17 families have minor children, 15 families have students. Several members of these families expressed a desire to find jobs. Some of them will be able to work in the sphere of agriculture, in the case there is a certain support. Several members of the families need to undergo medical examinations and operations.

The Defence Ministry is issuing 2 million drams in case a soldier dies, 1.4 million drams for the funerals , as well as 700 thousand  drams for arrangement of the cemeteries . Provision of pensions and payments to non-working family members is also expected.

"It is also necessary to arrange voluntary assistance to the volunteer bereaved ," the minister added .
