YEREVAN. - Leader of the National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan, film director Tigran Khzmalyan and a number of civil society representatives held another assembly against the Russian imperialists, near Aram Khachaturian’s statue in Yerevan Friday. During the event held under the slogan “No to Russian imperialism,” the speakers urged the society not to fall behind political changes and take the path of the European family.

“The situation in the state is changing very quickly and we think that the society shouldn’t fall behind the political changes. We believe that a pole should be established, which will consist of the representatives of political, civil, NGO, individual and many other areas, who believe that the salvation of the nation and statehood today is in directing Armenia to the European family. It’s also necessary to abandon the Russian-Turkish alliances and decolonize Armenia,” Khzmalyan said.
