French President François Hollande received the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of France, Bishop Vahan Hovhanessian, at the latter request, reported French Armenian Nouvelles d’Arménie monthly magazine.

Bishop Hovhanessian conveyed the French Armenians’ expectations with respect to the adopting of a French law criminalizing the denial of Armenian Genocide.

Also, he asked President Hollande to demand—as the leader of France, an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair and UN Security Council permanent member—from Azerbaijan to maintain ceasefire and recognize the right of Karabakh Armenians to live in their own land.
