YEREVAN. – The Defense Minister of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, on Wednesday received Iranian Ambassador Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi.

The Ministry of Defense informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the minister informed the ambassador about the arrangements regarding Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the defense sector, and which were made in Moscow during his talk with his Iranian colleague, and expressed a conviction that these arrangements will be implemented.

At the Iranian diplomat’s request, Ohanyan presented the current situation regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and Azerbaijan’s aggressive actions in recent days, and which provoke new hostilities.

Ambassador Sajjadi, for his part, expressed his concern by the respective present-day situation, and expressed readiness to exert all efforts to maintain peace and stability. Also, the Iranian diplomat underscored the development of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector, too.
