Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is on a working visit to Prague, met with the EU Commissioner on European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, Wednesday.

The main topic of the discussion was the situation in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, created as a result of the Azerbaijani large-scale aggression, Armenian MFA press-service reports.

FM Nalbandian briefed Mr Hahn on the joint efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards overcoming the consequences of the aggression and creating a favorable climate for resuming talks.

It was stressed that the conflict has no military solution. Johannes Hahn noted that the EU supports the efforts of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs toward the exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Apart from this, the Armenian FM and the EU Commissioner discussed Armenia-EU relations, expressing satisfaction with the process of talks on the new legal framework. Besides, importance was attached to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
