YEREVAN. - While the international community is struggling against the barbarian actions of terrorist groups, Azerbaijan – a state which is a subject of international law – acts with the same inhumane handwriting.

Armenian Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan told the aforementioned to ArmenPress, commenting on the fact that the Azerbaijani President awarded and took photo with the serviceman who was depicted on another photo where the mutilated head of the Karabkh Defense Army soldier Kyaram Sloyan was manifestly shown.   

“The encouragement of such a crime at the highest state level isn’t something new for Azerbaijan: Ramil Safarov, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for having axed sleeping Armenian [Lieutenant Gurgen Margaryan] to death in Budapest, was immediately pardoned, awarded and proclaimed hero by the Azerbaijani President upon his extradition to Baku in 2012.”

“The targeted shelling of schools during the April aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabkh, as a result of which children were killed and wounded, torturing of the elderly people to death and mistreatment of the bodies of captured Karabakh soldiers prove that Azerbaijan has adopted a policy of terrorism and crimes against humanity, which is encouraged and guided at state level,” Kocharyan said.
