STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday received Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian, Prelate of Tehran Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Armenian state-church relations, and the large-scale hostilities which Azerbaijan launched from April 2 to 5 and their consequences were discussed at the meeting.

President Sahakyan stressed that the Armenian Apostolic Church has greatly contributed in cementing and expanding Motherland-Diaspora ties, and expressed gratitude to Archbishop Sarkissian for his continuous assistance to Artsakh.

Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, also attended the talk.
