YEREVAN. – At the invitation of Panos Kammenos, the Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic, Eduard Sharmazanov, Vice President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and Head of the NA Armenia-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group, on Friday left for Athens on a working visit until Sunday.

The NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that, in the Greek capital city, he will attend and deliver remarks at an event commemorating the genocides of the Armenians and Pontic Greeks.

On Friday, Sharmazanov will have meetings with Anastasios Kourakis, First Deputy Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament; Eleni Stamataki, Head of the Greece-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Hellenic Parliament; and Antonis Balomenakis, Deputy Head of the Group.

On Sunday, Eduard Sharmazanov is scheduled to meet with Panos Kammenos.

Within the framework of his visit to Greece, the Armenian NA deputy chairman will also speak to the local media.
