U.S. President Barack Obama signed a law which excludes abusive mentions of minorities from the federal legislation, in particular the words "oriental" , "negro" and many others which were used in relation to different categories of the population of the U.S., RIA Novosti reported quoting ABC News.

The bill urges to make the texts more modern and remove politically incorrect language of the 1970s, which occurred in documents of the Ministry of Health and Human Services of the U.S.

The bill was approved by the House of Representatives in February, then the Senate of the United States unanimously voted for it on May 10. The act is in legal force from the moment of signing by the president.
