YEREVAN. – Peter Tesch, the newly appointed Ambassador of Australia—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—, on Wednesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia.

The Presidential Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the President congratulated the diplomat on his appointment, and expressed the hope that the ambassador will spare no efforts to develop Armenia-Australia friendship relations.

Sargsyan wished Ambassador Tesch success, and assured that the state agencies of Armenia will assist in his activities toward the strengthening of Armenian-Australian ties.

The interlocutors underscored the avenues for bringing new quality and content to Armenian-Australian relations, their collaboration within regional and international organizations, and the development of economic ties.

Ambassador Peter Tesch, for his part, spoke admirably about the large Armenian community in Australia, and stressed that the Armenians in his country also contribute to the strengthening of Armenian-Australian friendship.
