Azerbaijan has joined an economic project bypassing Turkey.

The official representative of the Iran Railways Hasan Ashuri stated that the new transport route will pass through the territory of Iran and the countries of Transcaucasia. A final point of a route is the EU, APA reported quoting  the Press TV.

Hasan Ashuri reported about the reached agreements with Azerbaijan and Georgia on creation of a new transportation route. He mentioned that the route would include railways and roads. It will pass through the territory of Azerbaijan and Georgia. The project is developed especially for transit of goods to the EU bypassing Turkey. As a result, the project will reduce transport time from 45 to 23 days. Russia and Finland will take part in the project.
