YEREVAN. – The operational situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border continued to remain calm, from late Monday night to early Tuesday morning.
The Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense (RA MOD) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that during this time, however, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired sporadic shots toward the northeastern sector—i.e. Tavush Province of Armenia—of the border, and by using rifle weaponry.
“[But] the RA armed forces control the border situation, and confidently carry out the tasks that are set,” the respective statement reads.
