Cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) gives no magical means, but it helps to overcome problematic issues.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated the aforesaid at his talk with his Kazakh colleague, Nursultan Nazarbayev, according to TASS news agency of Russia.

“Kazakhstan is the closest partner and most reliable ally for us [i.e. Russia],” said Putin. “We have very good economic relations.”

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council session, at the level of presidents, is convened Tuesday in the Kazakh capital city of Astana.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan is also attending the event.

The EAEU comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
