German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the vote on Armenian Genocide resolution is an example of democratic culture.

A part of democratic culture is when you do not always agree with your partners and disagree on some issues, she said when asked about Bundestag's vote during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Merkel emphasized that Germany and Turkey are linked by many issues starting from defense and up to a 3-million Turkish community living in Germany. She assured that Germany is ready to support relations with Turkey in all aspects.

“We would like to foster dialogue between Armenia and Turkey,” she added.
