YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday hosted the European Youth Forum Board members, who have arrived in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan to convene a regular board meeting.

The President expressed the hope that this meeting will be productive, and that the participating youth will also have an opportunity to get familiarized with the cultural and historical heritage of Armenia, and gain new friends.

“We always welcome the participation of Armenia’s youth organizations in the work of pan-European organizations, and also inclusion into these organizations, for the simple reason that our [Armenian] system of values is a component part of the European system of values,” noted Sargsyan.

The European Youth Forum Board representatives, for their part, presented their activities and objectives.

The discussants underscored the need for peace and stability the region, and the world in general, so that the present and future of the youth are not jeopardized. In this context, the youth asked the President of Armenia about the process toward achieving a resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the respective problems that have risen for young people.

Serzh Sargsyan thoroughly responded to these and many other issues of interest to these youth, and also wished them further success.
