Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, who is on a working visit to Armenia.

The RA presidential press service informed NEWS.am that the Armenian leader welcomed the Georgian FM, underlining the importance of mutual visits at various levels, which contribute to the improvement of bilateral relations. The Armenian leader stated Armenia will spare no efforts to develop relations with Georgia in the context of close historical ties and bilateral friendship.  

The sides discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the Armenian leader’s visit to Georgia. “I am sure that consistent implementation of the agreements will contribute to our relations,” President Sargsyan said.

Minister Vashadze assured the Armenian President that the Armenian-Georgian presidential agreements are being implemented.

The sides also discussed the development of cooperation in various areas – infrastructures, transport communications, education, tourism, customs etc..  The sides emphasized cooperation at checkpoints for improving the service quality, applying the one window principle. The sides also underlined the importance of joint efforts to draft and implement joint programs.
