Microsoft said Monday it had reached a deal to buy LinkedIn Corp. for $26,2 billion, Gazeta reports, citing The Wall Street Journal.

According to the statement, LinkedIn will “retain its distinct brand, culture and independence.” At the same time, Chief Executive Jeff Weiner will remain the company president, reporting only to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The transaction is expected to be concluded during this year.
