STEPANAKERT. – The President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, on Saturday convened a working consultation on the avenues for development of tourism in Artsakh.

Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Deputy Minister of Economy Sergey Shahverdyan delivered a respective report.

The President, in turn, stressed that tourism is among the key sectors of the country’s socioeconomic development, and a significant means of making Artsakh recognizable to the outside world and cementing the Homeland-Diaspora ties.

Sahakyan gave specific instructions toward a proper resolution of the issues discussed.

NKR Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan, and several other officials also attended the consultation.
