Famous Russian animator Garry Bardin will celebrate his 70th anniversary within the framework of ReAnimania 2011, festival’s founder Vrej Kassouny told reporters today.

“He will come unless he changes his mind the last moment. We have already talked on phone. The premiere of his last film will take place,” Kassouny said.

Garry Bardin is a Rusian animation director and screenwriter. During Soviet period he worked for Soyuzmultfilm and shot 15 films for 15 years. His films got numerous awards, including Golden Palm in Cannes.

He is famous for “The Ugly Duckling”, “Puss in Boots” and other animation films
