As a result of the meetings in St. Petersburg, agreement has been reached to continue the trilateral talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, reads the joint statement issued after the trailetarl meeting between the Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents Monday, TASS reports.

“The presidents stressed the significance of their regular contacts on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and agreed to continue them in this format in addition to the work of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, who were invited to the final part of the meeting in St. Petersburg,” the document says.  

The heads of states “reached mutual understanding on a range of issues, whose solution will allow to create conditions for the progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement,”the statement says.

The tête-à-tête meetings of the Russian president with his Armenian and Azerbaijan counterparts, as well as the trilateral meeting of all the three leaders took place in Russia’s northern capital Monday.
