Yerevan’s policy of friendship with Georgia costs Armenia much, ruling Republican party MP Shirak Torosyan told NEWS.am, commenting on Armenian FM’s recent statement. Earlier Edward Nalbandian said that there are no problems between Yerevan and Tbilisi despite constant signals of Javakhk Armenians about violation of their rights.

“Yerevan’s policy of friendship with Tbilisi costs Armenia much, the price is loss of Javakhk. Assimilation and mass emigration of Armenians from Javakhk is a price we pay for friendship with Georgia. If this policy is carried out in future , we will lose Javakhk. In this case we will not need friendship with Georgia even if Tbilisi asks for it,” MP stated.

At yesterday’s press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, Armenian FM noted there are no problems between the states that can not be solved through negotiations.
