Five Russian-speaking residents of New York , Alexander Pikus, Mark Tsvirin , Maxim Vernik , Dennis Satir, and Malvina Yablonskaya, are suspected in counterfeiting in the public health insurance system, reports Slavicsac.
All 5 people are accused of counterfeiting and money laundering in the health sector (38 million dollars).
According to Slavonic Sacramento the police suspects that the Slavs from 2008-2016 presented false accounts to the Medicare and Medicaid systems.
Overall, they submitted to the State a bill of $ 86 million. The scheme was implemented through bogus companies that were registered in Brooklyn bays - Gravesend and Sheepshead. Doing so they not only earned money illegally but also avoided paying taxes.
