The longest and highest slide tunnel in the world opens on Friday in London , reports Gazeta with a reference to Conde Nast Traveler. The length of the tunnel is nearly 180 meters. The descent begins at a height of 72 meters. The tunnel slide is located in the Olympic Park . It is built into the observation tower and ArcelorMittal Orbit, designed by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond.

The tunnel slide is created by the Belgian artist Carsten Höller, who in 2015 deigned slides inside the Tate Modern. It took nine weeks to complete the new  construction. One can get on the hill through the observation deck or the central elevator . Guests receive elbow pads and helmets. The ride down takes about 40 seconds, during which the participants circle the tower twelve times. The transparent panels allow to enjoy the city view.
