The Central Banks of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan on Friday discussed the development of their bank systems and cooperation, Belarusian regulator said, RIA Novosti reports.

“A number of pressing issues were discussed Friday during the subsequent 34th meeting of the Council of Chairmen of Central (National) Banks of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian National Bank, Sergei Kalechits, presided over the meeting held in Brest,” the message reads.  

The representatives of the Interstate Bank also attended the meeting.

According to the National Bank information, the meeting participants exchanged information on the results of their work and perspectives for the development of banking systems, tendencies of the currency market development, condition of payment balances and dynamics of international reserves of their own states.

“Apart from this, issues related to the exchange of information and experience on the development of payment card market infrastructure, cooperation of the central banks in the sphere of agreeing on methodological approaches to the calculation of indexes of personal and trans-border money transfers and further cooperation in the issues of staff training were discussed,” the message reads.
