The US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Georgia on July 6, announced the Georgian Ambassador to the US Archil Gegeshidze during his interview with the Rustavi- 2.

He noted that Kerry will discuss with the Georgian officials issues of cooperation in economy, security, protection, and strengthening relations in the political sphere.

On January of 2009, Georgia and Washington signed a strategic partnership charter. The document envisages cooperation in security, defense , humanitarian, trade, economy, and culture.

Each year in the United States and Georgia there take place working plenary sessions directed at the implementation issues of the provisions of that document. The next session will be held in Tbilisi on July 6 with the participation of John Kerry and the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
