YEREVAN. - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday attended a reception held at the Armenian National Gallery of Art on occasion of the Constitution Day.

The presentation of the book “Constitutional culture, lessons learnt from history and current challenges” by President of the Armenian Constitutional Court, Prof. Gagik Harutyunyan, also took place at the reception. The publication of the book is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of Armenia.

The monograph authored by Harutyunyan is the final edited version of the work published in 2005.

“The constitutional culture is very little. It is interesting that very little research on this area has been made in the international practice. The phenomenon of constitutional culture is studied very little. I have tried to make analysis from the pre-Christian period up to our days, showing the logic and direction in which the constitutional culture will develop,” Harutyunyan told journalists.

The reception was also attended by the government members and MPs.
