In a telephonic conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Barack Obama expressed his readiness to intensify efforts to achieve a comprehensive settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict; this was said in a White House press release.

Obama and Putin discussed the Russian president’s talks with Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents, on June 20, in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Obama expressed his readiness to intensify efforts together with Russia and with France, as co-chairs of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, to resolve this conflict.
