At least six people died in the central and east part of the U.S. because of the heat, CNN reported on Monday quoting National Weater Service.

Representative of fire department in the city of Phoenix, Arizona, told CNN that a 12-year-old teenager died on Friday as a result of heat stroke caused by high air temperatures higher than 40 degrees. 

Five more elderly people died near the city of Detroit in Michigan, Roseville Police Chief James Berlin told CNN.

According to the TV channel, law enforcement agencies and fire services of Detroit help locals to cope with the heat, some reports suggest.
