Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia have agreed to expand the OSCE monitoring group on the Line of Contact along the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, U.S. Co-Chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group told RIA Novosti.

According to Warlick, the OSCE Minsk Group is actively working towards the fulfillment of the obligations taken by the presidents during the Vienna and St. Petersburg meetings for lowering the tension and further advancement of the negotiations aimed at the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

In his words, it is planned to continue the large-scale talks on the settlement of the conflict with the involvement of high-level officials from each side. The progress in diplomatic direction is necessary to lower the tension between the sides, Warlick noted.
